Katie Kershaw, Artistic Director

Katie Kershaw is humbled and proud to serve as Artistic Director of the Rancocas Valley Singers. Over the past four years, she has dedicated herself to fostering a strong sense of community and joy among both musicians and audiences through the power of singing together.

Katie has been a music and choral teacher in South Jersey public schools for the past eight years. Currently, she is living her dream as the high school choral director and music teacher at Northern Burlington Regional High School. Beyond her teaching career, she is an active performer with the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia as well as various community theater companies in the South Jersey area.

As a choral singer and conductor, Katie has had the privilege of collaborating with remarkable musicians at esteemed venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Kimmel Center, Cathedral Basilica, the Annenberg Center, and many other prestigious locations. Most recently, she conducted her school choir on the Kimmel Center stage as the first place winners of the B101 Christmas Choir Competition, performed with her school district at Carnegie Hall with renowned composer and conductor, Eric Whitacre, and is a frequent performer as a member of Mendelssohn Chorus at the Kimmel Center with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Katie holds a Bachelor’s of Music Education with a vocal concentration from The College of New Jersey. Outside of music, she is a cat lover, a Broadway fanatic, and an avid tennis fan.
